BCI WATCH is an automated tracker. It pulls from news feeds, ClinicalTrials.gov, arXiv and PubMed across 11 regions and 9 languages, then files what it finds by company, trial phase and regulatory action. The underlying sources are mostly in English — the site chrome is Japanese, the material it points at is not.
Open the tracker JANeuralink, Synchron, Paradromics, Blackrock Neurotech, Precision Neuroscience and others. Funding rounds, first-in-human milestones, personnel moves.
Pulled directly from ClinicalTrials.gov. Phase, enrolment, sponsor and status, so you can see what has actually started rather than what was announced.
FDA designations and approvals, and policy movement in Japan, the United States, China and the EU. Neural data privacy law is moving fast and is tracked separately.
arXiv and PubMed, filtered to decoding, electrodes, neural implants and closed-loop stimulation.
Most English-language BCI coverage misses Chinese, Korean and European developments entirely. Collecting in the local language and filing by region is the main thing this tracker does that others don't.
The tracker interface is currently in Japanese, but the articles, papers and trial records it links to are overwhelmingly in English — so the site is usable if you can navigate past the labels. A full English interface is planned.
We don't machine-translate pages and publish them as if they were written in English. When an English edition exists, it has been written in English. Until then, this page tells you honestly what is on the other side of the link.
Everything on this site is free and has no paywall, in either language.
